Microsoft 365 Outage: Thousands Report Issues with Outlook and Teams . .
On Monday, thousands of Microsoft 365 users worldwide reported experiencing problems with services like Outlook, Teams, and other applications, including PowerPoint and calendars.
Social media platforms and outage trackers like Downdetector were flooded with complaints from users unable to access emails, load calendars, or use certain features.
Microsoft confirmed the disruption, attributing the issue to a “recent change” impacting Exchange Online and Teams calendar functionality. The company stated it was rolling back the change and implementing a fix. By late morning (ET), the fix had reached approximately 98% of affected environments, according to updates posted on X (formerly Twitter).
However, Microsoft acknowledged that targeted restarts were progressing more slowly than expected for some users. As of midday, Downdetector continued to show thousands of outage reports, with Outlook being the most affected service.
